The majestic rice terraces of the Philippines are located in the mountain province of Ifugao. Your journey to the Eighth Wonder of the World starts in Tam-an, Banaue. The multi-storey rice terraces cover an area of 250 square kilometers. The sight is unique! There are several viewpoints and each one has a different picture.

Batad is just behind Banaue. The rice terraces in Batad look like a gigantic amphitheater. In the middle of the rice fields you can spend a whole day and enjoy a refreshing cool down in the Tappiya waterfall. It is especially nice to wake up in the morning surrounded by the rice terraces, which is why we recommend a night on site.

How to get to Batad:
From Banaue you have to take a tricycle or jeepny towards Batad. The rice terraces are only accessible on foot, so the transport does not take you directly to the rice terraces.
The mountain village of Sagada in the Mountain Province is a small, sleepy village. Interest in tourism is growing, especially among the locals. Sagada offers adventurous activities and great restaurants. The scent of pine forests and sunrises over the sea of clouds make a visit unique.

How to get to Sagada:
There are small vans that take you from Banaue to Sagada. They start near the tourist office at 9 a.m. The journey time is 3 hours and the ticket costs 300 pesos (5 euros).
Coda lines offers trips from Manila to Sagada (via Banaue and Bontoc). The sections cannot be booked online. On site in Banaue, the arrival times of the Coda Lines Bus can be asked at the tourist office.
Baguio City, the "summer city of the Philippines". Blooming gardens and green parks invite you to linger. Cathedrals and sandstone buildings are other landmarks in the city. A stone's throw from Baguio you will find "The Colors of Stobosa", brightly painted houses along a sloping slope.

How to get to Baguio:
GL Trans and Lizardo Bus drive from Sagada to Baguio City. A total of 7 buses run between 5:00 and 13:00. The journey takes between 5 and 6 hours. The ticket costs 220 php (about 4 euros)

- From Baguio you can drive back to Manila, including with Coda lines, Victory liner, genesis or JoyBus. The journey time is between 4 and 6 hours (depending on the bus class).
